Kindergarten "Beautiful Oops"-Inspired Imaginary Blob Creatures
We first read the book Mouse Paint where the mice play in puddles of paint so Kindergarteners made little "puddles" of primary colored watercolor and then used a straw to blow the puddles and spread them.
Then we read Beautiful Oops where they turn all these mistakes into other things. Students learned to become flexible thinkers and so they used colored pencils, sharpie and cut white circles for eyes to transform the blobs into something else.
