First graders are exploring caves in art


Welcome to the art cave 


First graders analyzed different cave paintings from all over the world. They then identified what continent they are in located in.
They are designing symbols/pictographs that represent them and their feelings abot nature. Stay tuned for their cave paintings !

1st Grade Dinosaur Island Habitat

First grade students created a fictitious island habitat for their clay dinosaurs using different paper sculpture techniques. Students discovered that they can convey depth/space through overlapping and placing objects in the foreground, middle ground and background. They discussed what makes a habitat and what they could include in their habitats. We learned how to create different forms with paper techniques.
