2nd grade Pablo Picasso-inspired Self Portaits.

After drawing a self portrait from observation, students drew a self-portrait from imagination. Students discovered that line, shapes and colors can communicate meaning. Students thought about a time when they had mixed feelings and used this experience as well as Picasso's Cubist style  to inspire their self portraits. They drew their portraits and added color with watercolors.
